Usually KODIAK Pro updates automatically.  But we changed a lot in the new version and users will have to reinstall the application.  To get KODIAK Pro version 2.0 you need to download the latest version from the KODIAK Pro website and install. KODIAK Pro 2.0 can co-exist with older versions. KODIAK Pro 2.0 will be automatically updated like older versions.

To log in to KODIAK Pro 2.0 users should use the same user name and password they use for the previous versions.

Older version of KODIAK Pro will continue to be supported until 01.10.2015.

New markets 

Market data from Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen

KODIAK Pro 2.0 can display market data from all four Nasdaq OMX Nordic Exchanges. All four exchanges are supported in the following controls:

  • Market Depth
  • Watch List
  • Trade Ticker
  • Indexes
  • Broker Statistics
  • Historical Trades
  • News
  • Chart
  • End of Day

Market by Level

Market depth now displays market by level information by default. Market by order is available for Icelandic stocks and bonds and is selected by expanding the Market Depth statistics pane and select "Market by order".

When the user has configured her Market Depth control she can right-click on the data grid and select duplicate - to duplicate the window with the same settings.

Tradable Lists

To select which tradables are to be displayed in Watch List, Trade Ticker and End of day we have organized all tradables into Lists and the user selects one list for each Watch List and Trade Ticker and End of Day.



My Lists

The user can create their own lists to organize tradables. Custom lists are managed in the My Lists window (Tools -> My Lists). The user can create as many custom lists as she wants and use them in Watch List, Trade Ticker and End of day.


 

Linked windows

Windows can be linked together in a way where the selected tradable in the linked Watch List will control what tradable is selected for the other controls.  Controls that can become linked windows (and controlled by Watch List) are:

  • Market Depth
  • Trade Ticker
  • Historical Trades
  • Shareholders
  • Broker Statistics
  • News
  • Chart



    Users can create four different groups of linked windows, identified by colors. Note that only one Watch List can be assigned to each color.

Overview

KODIAK Pro 2.0 has a search box in the title line. Selecting a tradable opens an overview window for that tradable.


Indexes

Any real time index from the Nasdaq OMX Nordic exchanges can now be displayed in the Indexes control


Historical Trades

The Historical Trades control allows the user to search for Trades.


Server failover

In case of a server failure, the new KODIAK Pro will automatically switch from its default site in Reykjavik and connect to a fail over site hosted in Stockholm, Sweden. This will massively decrease down time and system failures.

Workspace

Older workspaces created in previous versions of KODIAK Pro will unfortunately not work in the new version. Users will need to re-create their workspaces.
