Customer Due Diligence
Within the Due Diligence process, customers can complete due diligence by identifying themselves using electronic ID and responding to questions regarding the source of their funds, the purpose of the transaction, their political affiliations, and any ties to high-risk or non-cooperative countries.
Answering the Due Diligence can be done in two ways.
Email
An email is received from a notifiable entity through noreply@hluthafaskra.is
Press the “Respond to due diligence” in the email and after identifying yourself using electronic ID you will be directed straight to the questionnaire.
It is possible to answer the questionnaire in both English and Icelandic. Once you have finished answering the questions truthfully press the “send answers” button to finish the due diligence.
Foreign individual / entity
If a foreign individual does not have electronic ID in Iceland they need to upload a copy of a photo ID and foreign entities need to upload a copy of a valid company registration certificate.
Log in with electronic ID on http://www.hluthafaskra.is.is
Once you have logged in with electronic ID you press the red button “Svara áreiðanleikakönnun” which will take you directly to your unanswered Due Diligence questionnaires.
