This user guide is meant to show and explain some of the features available in the Keldan markaðir web portal.

Workspace

When you open Keldan markaðir for the first time you get a default workspace. You can change the workspace by dragging and dropping components, adding or removing components or reconfiguring components. In the main menu you’ll see the following actions:

Under WORKSPACE you have the option to:

  • Reset the workspace back to the default workspace

  • Load a workspace you have already saved

  • Import a workspace from a file you have on your computer (a .json file)

  • Save a workspace

  • Export a workspace to potentially share with colleagues (a .json file)

Components

You can add components to your workspace and position them within the workspace by dragging and dropping them.

Watch List

The Watch List component allows you to select a list of securities from a drop-down menu.

The securities in the list you select show up in an interactive table where you can sort, select and manage columns. Hovering over a column and clicking on the three dots will open up this menu:

When you right-click on a security in the list you will see further options for that particular security.

You can connect the watch list to other components by selecting the link icon in the top right corner. All components with the link icon selected will be connected and show information for the security you click on in the Watch List.

Market Depth

The Market Depth component will show you the current order book for the selected security. The depth shown will depend on the market data subscription you have.

You can select a security using the drop-down/search or by linking the component to a Watch List component as explained above. You can manage the columns in the Market Depth table by hovering over a column and selecting the three dots.

  • MBL vs. MBO determines whether the order book is shown as Market By Level or Market By Order. MBL means that you might see multiple orders aggregated on a price level while in MBO mode you will see all orders.

  • Orderbook Status shows the status of the orderbook. During market hours the status is typically Trading while off hours it is typically Closed.

  • Total bar at the bottom of the component sums up the total volume on both sides of the book.
