Convert old workbook queries and functions

It is possible to convert Genius functions and queries that were created in previous versions of Genius Excel to Excel 2007 format. After converting the Genius functions and queries you have to convert the document to 2007 format as well. After the document has been converted to 2007 format the queries and functions will not be accessible in version 97-2003.

When you open an Excel 97-2003 workbook a Convert button will appear in the Genius Toolbar. We recommend that users take backup of their files before converting.

1. To convert Genius functions and queries, simply open the document containing the functions and queries and select Convert in the Genius toolbar.

2. A warning window appears. If you select OK you will continue to convert the workbook to the Open Office XML File Format. Select Cancel if you do not want to convert.

3. When the document has been converted, a window appears that indicates that the convert was successful

4. To convert the document to Excel 2007 format select the Office icon in the left corner  and select Convert there.

After the document has been converted to 2007 format the Genius functions and queries will not be accessible in version 97-2003.
