Kodiak Derivatives can have handle forward contracts that have the underlying instrument in different currency than the loan. When creating a new Forward Contract, the system will automatically select the underlying currency of the security. Users can change the loan currency by selecting a different currency in the drop down selection. That will prompt the user to enter an opening currency cross that calculates the value of the currency in the loan currency. This feature can be turned off in the General Settings tab of the Backoffice web page. When closing the contract, a closing currency cross must be entered for the system to calculate the currency leg of the contract.
