To help you keep track of instruments (stocks and bonds) that pique your interest you can create a Watch List within KODIAK Pro. The Watch list instrument allows you to follow any number of stocks and bonds and displays in depth data about ask and bid price.

You can create as many watch lists as you want. 

Creating a Watch List

You can access the Watch List through the Market Data drop down menu on the toolbar or via the keyboard shortcut CTRL+2

To add an instrument to the watch list click the cog on the toolbar. 

This will bring up 'My Lists' settings.

Then by typing in the desired instruments first letters, Kodiak Pro will bring up a drop down menu with stock or bonds options to add to the watch list.

You can also create, edit, remove and rename a custom list. 

When the instrument has been found, click 'Add', If you want to add more instruments to the list at this time, simply repeat the process. 

Select Tradable Lists

You can also select tradable lists from the 'Select a list' drop down menu.

Watch List Options

When you have created a Watch List there are several options you can use to personalize and tweak the list. 

View market depth

With a row selected, you can click on ( + ) on your keyboard to expand each row in the watch list to see the market depth. By pressing the minus symbol ( - ) you can retract the view back to its original state and the market depth disappears. 

Movable 

All the columns are movable. If desired, you can left-click on the column headers and drag any column to a new place within the list. This can be a great help for comparison for example. 

Add more columns / remove columns

You can right-click the column headers and add more data columns for an even deeper insight into the market data. You can also remove columns. 

Buy / sell market order

You can create a market order directly through Watch List by right clicking and choosing Buy Order or Sell Order.

Other instruments

The context menu (right-clicking) of an instrument in the watch offers a list options for that instrument.

KODIAK Pro then opens a new window or tab for the selected option for that instrument. 

Move instrument up/down within watch list

It's possible to move instruments up or down the watch list for convenience. You can either right click and simply choose 'Move to top', 'Move up', 'Move down' or 'Move to bottom' or, alternatively use the keyboard shortcuts of CTRL+ plus symbol ( + ) and CTRL+ minus symbol ( - ).

Copy data

It's possible to copy all data within the watch list and paste into a spreadsheet. Drag over the blocks you want to copy, press ctrl+c (or right click and choose copy) and paste into the spreadsheet program of your choice. 

Copy RTD link (Excel Real Time Data)

It is possible to link real time data into Excel using the KODIAK RTD.  To use the RTD feature, users must first install the Kodiak Excel RTD program.  This feature works with Excel 2007 and Excel 2010 32 bit. More information about the Excel RTD can be found here.
