The KODIAK Pro Chart Tool is a very versatile way to visualize market data for easy referencing and comparison. 

 

Using the Chart it is possible to :

  • View information over chosen timeframes.

  • Add additional instruments to the chart.

  • Copy data to excel.

  • View different indicators such as SMA (Simple Moving Average), Bollinger bands, MACD and RSI.

  • View different series types (line, area, candle and OHLC).

 

Adding an instrument
By typing the first letters of a symbol in the text box, KODIAK Pro will automatically show a drop down menu with bonds and stocks that correspond to the input. Select an intrument and press Add. A graph for that symbol will be added to the Chart.

To add additional symbols to the chart, type the symbol in the text box next to Compare. When add additional symbols are added, KODIAK Pro color codes them for easier distinction. To remove instruments, press the symbol name on the toolbar.

 

Toolbar

The toolbar is used to add symbols, choose the timeframe to display and change the chart view to data view.

 

Hover over the graph

By hovering over the graph, on-point information about the symbol will be displayed on the screen. The date you're focusing on is displayed, along with the price and volume at that date.

 

Copy data for spreadsheet

By pressing the Data button, the view will change to the data the chart is based on. Drag over the data, right-click and press Copy, then paste to any spreadsheet. To change the view back to the chart, press the Chart button.

 

Series types

By pressing the drop-down Series button, you can choose between four types of displays.

 

Technicals

By pressing the drop-down Technicals button, you can add four types of indicators to the chart.

  • MCAD - Moving average convergence/divergence

  • SMA - Simple moving average, 10 days, 50 days or 200 days
