Watch list

The Watch list instrument allows you to follow any number of stocks and bonds and displays in depth data about ask and bid price. Choose to view an exciting list or create a new list. You can create as many Watch Lists as you want.

Creating a Watch List

Access to the Watch list is trough the Market Data drop down menu on the toolbar or via the keyboard shortcut CTRL+2 or F6.

To add an instrument to the Watch List, click the cog on the toolbar
This will open up a My Lists window. To make a new custom list click on New list.

Open

By typing the first letters of an instrument, KODIAK Pro will suggest stocks and bonds to add to the list. To add the instrument to the new list press Add or press enter on the keyboard.

To add an instrument to an excisting list, select the list in the drop down menu next to List and repeat the previous steps.

Remove an instrument from the list by double clicking the instrument name. Watch Lists can also be edited, removed and renamed.

Select tradable lists from the Select a list drop down menu.

Watch List options

There are several options to personalize a Watch List.

View market depth. With a row selected, click on + on the keyboard to expand each row in the Watch List to see the market depth. By clicking - the market depth row disappears.

Moveable. All columns er movable by left-clicking on the column header and draging it to a new place within the list. This can be a great help for comparison.

Add more columns / remove columns. By right-clicking the column header, more columns can be added for an deeper insight to the market data. It is also possible to remove columns.

Buy / sell market order. Create a market order directly through Watch List by right clicking and choosing Buy or Sell.

Other instruments. By right-clicking on an instrument in the Watch List you open the context menu that offers a list of options for that instrument. KODIAK Pro then opens a new window or tab for the selected option for that instrument.

Move instruments up / down within the Watch List. To move instruments up or down the list. Either right click and simply choose Move to top, Move up, Move down or Move to bottom or, alternatively use the keyboard shortcuts of CTRL+plus symbol and CTRL+minus symbol

Copy data. It's possible to copy all data within the Watch List and paste into a spreadsheet. Drag over the blocks to copy, and paste into the spreadsheet program of your choice. 

Copy RTD link (Excel Real Time Data) It is possible to link real time data into Excel using the KODIAK RTD.  To use the RTD feature, users must first install the Kodiak Excel RTD program. More information about the Excel RTD can be found here.
