Alerts are the main focus of Compliance and Risk officers. Sigti has over 30 different alerts covering various different scenarios. Sigti runs a batch job every night that goes over public and private data and generates Alert events where appropriate.

Open - Initial state of the alerts
Watch - The event is being watched for possible repeats of the same event
Investigating - The event is being investegatedinvestigated
Critical - The event is flagged as critical. Will be moved to Closed when all appropriate measures have been taken
Explained - The event has been explained. Will be moved to Closed when all appropriate measures have been taken
Closed - The event has been fully processed

To investigate an Alert event the user can look at the tick data by clicking the symbol of the tradable. The Tick data data windows opens on the appropriate date and the Alert event will be highlighted int the Tick Data data table.
All status changes and comments are saved in the Alert event History and . Note that the comment is associated with the status change so each status change can have its own comment. Alert event history can be viewed by clicking the “HISTORY“ tab in the Alert event details window.
